Membership is how the Pakistani-American community becomes a constituency with a voice. Five categories, one standard of conduct, and a place in everything NRP convenes.
Categories
Choose the category that fits. Every category carries the same standing in the community — they differ in eligibility and in what the membership is designed to support.
Eligibility. Any individual of Pakistani origin or heritage resident in the United States, and any individual committed to the Pakistan–United States partnership.
Eligibility. A household — two adults and dependent children at one address — joining together under a single membership.
Eligibility. Students enrolled in an American institution, and young people under 25 — the category the Women & Youth pillar is built around.
Eligibility. Practicing professionals — medicine, law, engineering, education, energy, media, finance — willing to contribute sector expertise.
Eligibility. Companies, universities, hospitals, chambers of commerce, non-profits and other institutions in either country.
NRP is a non-profit. Membership contributions fund community services, programs and events rather than returns to any individual.
Contribution levels for each category are confirmed with your application and set by the executive committee. Student and youth membership is offered at a reduced rate. No applicant is turned away from community services for inability to contribute.
